  1. Plain flour 1 cup

  2. Soda bi-carb a pinch

  3. Yogurt 1 tbsp.

  4. Ghee 2 tsp.

  5. Salt 1/2 tsp.

  6. Oil for deep frying

  7. For Filling:

  8. Potatoes 2

  9. Boiled ,peeled and diced

  10. Green chillies 2

  11. Minced

  12. (Boiled) peas 1/2 cup

  13. Garam masala 1/2 tsp.

  14. Salt to taste

  1. Sieve the plain flour, salt and soda bi-carb in a bowl, rub in the ghee, with the yoghurt and a little water make a firm dough and keep aside.

  2. To make the filling: Heat 2 tsp oil in a fry pan add the mustard seeds, after it crackles add the green chillies, potatoes, peas, garam masala and salt, stir fry well. Add lemon juice and chopped green coriander. Cool this mixture and divide into equal portions.

  3. Divide the plain flour dough into as many portions as the potato filling.

  4. Take one portion of the dough and flatten it between the palms of your hand, place the filling and seal edges on the top. Deep fry in hot oil and serve piping hot with chutney.
