  1. Eight-Layer Casserole

  2. 1/2 pound lean ground beef

  3. 2 tablespoons imitation bacon bits

  4. 1 small onion, chopped

  5. 15 oz can tomato sauce

  6. 1/2 cup water

  7. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

  8. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  9. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  10. 2/3 cup long-grain rice

  11. 8 3/4 oz can whole-kernel corn, drained

  12. 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

  13. Crumble ground beef evenly over bottom of a slow cooker. Sprinkle

  14. with bacon bits, then onion. In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce,

  15. water, chili powder, salt, and black pepper; pour half over beef

  16. and onion layers. Sprinkle rice evenly over top, then corn. Top

  17. with remaining tomato sauce mixture, then bell pepper. Cover and cook on LOW about 5 hours or until rice is tender.
