  1. 1/2 cup 118ml Catsup

  2. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  3. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Onion - finely chopped

  4. 3 tablespoons 45ml Red wine vinegar

  5. 2 tablespoons 30ml Vegetable oil

  6. 2 teaspoons 10ml Brown sugar

  7. 2 teaspoons 10ml Worcestershire sauce

  8. 2 teaspoons 10ml Mustard seed - whole

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Paprika

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Oregano - dried, crushed

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Chili powder

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  13. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Cloves - ground

  14. 1 Bay leaf

  15. 10 Garlic - minced

  1. In saucepan, combine all ingredients.

  2. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice.

  3. Discard bay leaf. Use to baste hamburgers or ribs last 15 minutes of grilling.
