  1. 1 1/4 lbs 567g / 20oz Granny smith or other tart apples - cored and sliced

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Lemon juice

  3. 2/3 cup 97g / 3.4oz Gingersnap cookies - crushed

  4. 2/3 cup 41g / 1.4oz Rolled oats

  5. 1/4 cup 40g / 1.4oz Brown sugar

  6. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Butter or margarine - softened

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground cinnamon

  1. Sprinkle sliced apples with lemon juice. Place in a round or oval 9- or 10-inch glass baking dish. Cut remaining ingredients together with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit.

  2. Microwave at 100% power until fruit is tender (7 to 9 minutes); give dish a half turn once. Serve warm.
