  7. 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds

  8. 1 cup freshly grated parmesan or asiago cheese

  9. 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

  10. 2 tablespoons olive oil -- up to

  11. salt and pepper to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender, adding enough olive oil to make a thick smooth paste.

  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Serve with tortilla chips or raw vegetables.
