  1. 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  2. 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour

  3. 1/8th cup milled flax

  4. 1/8th cup wheat germ

  5. 1 Tablespoon baking powder

  6. 1 teaspoon salt

  7. 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar

  8. 14 oz. beer (yeah this is a weird volume but the whole grains seem to need more liquid to get to the sticky consistency recommended for crock pot bread dough)

  1. Preheat your crock pot to high. Some of the recipes I saw talked about putting some other container in there. Some said raise it. Some didn’t. I didn’t have a container that would fit in my big crock pot, so I just used my 4 quart one and greased it well.

  2. Mix all ingredients.

  3. Press the dough (which should be sticky) down into the crock so that it sits evenly.

  4. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
