    1. FLAKY PASTRY:

    2. 2 c. flour

    3. 1 tsp. salt

    4. 2/3 c. &

    5. 2 tbsp. shortening

    6. 5-6 tbsp. cold (ice) water add a tbsp. at a time

    7. 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

    8. STRAWBERRY PIE:

    9. 1 1/2 c. water

    10. 1 c. sugar

    11. Pinch salt

    12. 4 tbsp. cornstarch

    13. 4 tbsp. strawberry Jello

    14. 1 pt. (3 c.) strawberries

    15. 1 baked pie shell

    1. Boil sugar, water, salt and cornstarch until clear and thick. Remove from heat. Add Jello. Stir and cool. Add berries. Pour into baked shell. Chill 3-4 hours.
