  1. 3/4 cup apple juice

  2. 6 tbsp. soy sauce

  3. 1 tbsp. butter

  4. 1 clove garlic

  5. 1 apple, sliced

  6. 6 salmon filets

  1. In a saucepan, heat the apple juice, soy sauce, butter and garlic. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat and let cool. Add the apple slices. When liquid is cool, add the salmon filets and marinate one hour or more in the refrigerator. Just before dinner, take the filets out of the liquid and either grill over hot coals or broil under a hot broiler. Brush with the marinade halfway through the cooking, which should take 8 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the filets. Broil the apple slices for the last minute. Makes 6 servings.
