  1. 1 cup boiling water

  2. 1 cup All Bran

  3. 1/2 cup plus 1 T. Crisco

  4. 1 1/2 cups sugar

  5. 2 egg s beaten

  6. 2 cups buttermilk

  7. 2 1/2 cups flour

  8. 1 tsp. baking powder

  9. 1 1/2 tsp. soda

  10. 1/2 tsp salt

  11. 2 cups All Bran

  1. Mix the boiling water and 1 cup of All Bran, set aside. Cream together Crisco and sugar, mix in eggs and buttermilk. Add to the All Bran and water mixture. Shift together dry ingredients and add gradually. Fold in the 2 cups of All Bran. Fill greased muffin pans, ⅔ full. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°. Remaining batter may be kept for a week in covered container in the refigerator. Remember to not over mix the dough.
