  1. Meat Balls

  2. 1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24oz Ground beef

  3. 1/2 cup 31g / 1.1oz Quaker oats - uncooked

  4. (quick or old-fashioned)

  5. 1 tablespoon 15ml Chopped parsley

  6. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  7. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Parmesan cheese

  8. 2 Eggs - beaten

  9. Sauce

  10. 1 Garlic clove - minced

  11. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Canned tomatoes

  12. 6 oz 170g Tomato paste

  13. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  14. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Pepper

  15. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Oregano

  16. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Basil

  1. For meat balls, combine all ingredients thoroughly. Shape to form small meat balls, using about 1 tablespoon for each. Brown in small amount of shortening in large skillet, turning frequently until browned on all sides.

  2. For sauce, combine all ingredients. Pour over browned meat balls; simmer about 30 minutes. Serve in chafing dish.
