  1. 2 cups heavy cream

  2. 6 tablespoons instant vanilla chai latte, Pacific Chai

  3. 1 can (14-oz.) sweetened condensed milk, Carnation

  4. 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted

  1. Place 1 cup cream in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium high (75 percent power) for 2 to 3 minutes or until steaming. (DO NOT BOIL.) Add instant chai latte; stir until dissolved. Stir in remaining 1 cup cream and the sweetened condensed milk. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

  2. Pour ice cream base into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions for freezing. When ice cream is thick and almost frozen, add toasted almonds and finish freezing. Makes 1 quart.
