  1. 1 c. sugar

  2. 1 tbsp. flour

  3. 3 egg yolks

  4. 1 c. milk

  5. 3 tbsp. butter

  6. 2 tbsp. peanut butter

  7. Baked pie shell

  8. MERINGUE:

  9. 3 egg whites, room temperature

  10. 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

  11. 6 tbsp. sugar

  12. 1 tsp. vanilla (clear)

  1. Mix sugar and flour – cream in egg yolks. Slowly stir in milk. Add butter and peanut butter. Cook over medium heat until thick – stir constantly. Pour into baked pie shell.

  2. For meringue – add cream of tartar to egg whites and whip until frothy. continue whipping and slowly add 6 tablespoons sugar until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour over pie and brown under broiler until golden. Refrigerate.
