  6. 200 ea sm pickles

  7. 2 oz mustard, dry

  8. 1 qt cider vinegar

  9. 2 oz cinnamon

  10. 1 lb sugar

  11. 1 c salt

  12. 2 oz cloves, whole

  13. Scald the pickles in boiling water. Drain. Mix together the cinnamon

  14. and cloves. Place a layer of pickles in a crock and sprinkle with the

  15. spice mixture; repeat until crock is filled. Combine the sugar, salt,

  16. mustard and vinegar and bring to a boil and cook about 5 minutes.

  17. Pour brine over the pickles, filling the crock. (More brine may be

  18. needed, depending on size of pickles). Cover crock and let stand in a

  19. cold place. --
