  1. 1 banana, sliced on diagonal

  2. 1 apple, cut into eighths

  3. 4 tablespoons preserved ginger syrup

  4. 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

  5. 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

  6. 2 tablespoons olive oil Mango relish:

  7. 1 mango, diced

  8. 1 tablespoon chopped shallot

  9. 1 tablespoon chopped mint

  10. 1 teaspoon vegetable oil Salt and pepper

  1. Thread bananas and apples on soaked wooden skewers. Combine ginger syrup, vinegar, cilantro and oil. Grill skewers, brushing them frequently with ginger syrup mixture, until lightly browned and crisp. Combine relish ingredients and place in a pretty bowl for serving. Serve warm.
