  1. 2 12 oz. herring fillets int wine sauce

  2. 1 large white onion

  3. 1 large apple

  4. 2 slices bread (remove crusts, pour herring juice over it quickly and soak for a few minutes)

  5. 3 hard boiled egg s

  6. 2 to 6 t sugar , to taste

  1. Grind herring in food processor one jar at a time (4 pushes) Process everything separately except onion which requires a few more “pushes” Squeeze out bread. Mix well with hands. Add sugar to taste. This fills a large mixing bowl. Do eggs first, then onions and apple. Then do herring with bread.
