  1. 1 package (18 1/4 ounce) white cake mix

  2. 1 1/4 cups root beer

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 1/4 cup of canola oil

  5. Frosting:

  6. 1 envelope whipped topping mix (Dream Whip)

  7. 1/2 cup of chilled root beer

  1. "In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 1/4 cups of root beer, 2 eggs, and 1/4 cup canola oil. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds; then beat on high for 2 minutes. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 in. baking pan.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a tootpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.

  3. In a small bowl, beat frosting ingredients until stiff peaks form. Frost cake. Chill. Yields: 12 to 15 servings. Yield: serves 15
