  1. 5 pound(s) potatoes , peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes 1 stalk(s) celery , chopped 1 small onions , chopped 1 whole(s) dill pickle , chopped small 1 cup(s) mayonaise 1 teaspoon(s) salt 1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper 2 tablespoon(s) bacon bits 3 pinch(es) paprika , for topping salad

  1. Heat enough water to cover cubed potatoes to a boil. Reduce heat and allow to boil for appr.

  2. min. or until the poatoes are tender. Drain potatoes and put in ice water to stop cooking. Drain in collander once the potatoes are cooled. In a large bowl mix together the chopped celery, chopped onions, chopped pickle, bacon bits and potatoes. fold in the mayonaise careful not to break up the potato cubes and add salt and pepper to taste. If potatoes have a lot of starch, add more mayonaise now. sprinkle top of salad with paprika and refridgerate until ready to eat. if you are having a party make plenty if there is to be enough.
