  1. 2 c. long grain rice (Basmati)

  2. 1/2 c. butter

  3. 1 tsp. salt

  4. 1 tsp. cumin seed

  5. 3 or 4 bay leaves

  6. 10 peppers

  7. 4 cloves

  1. Melt the butter and brown cumin seed, bay leaves, peppers and cloves. Wash and cook the rice for 1/2 hour then lightly brown the rice. Add 3 cups of water and salt. Wait until the water boils, cover, and cook the rice for approximately 20 minutes. Serve hot.
