  2. 1/4c Creme de Menthe - green

  3. 1/4c Half and half

  4. 1/2c Butter or margarine- melted

  5. 4 c Powdered sugar - sifted

  6. 1/2c Chocolate morsels, melted

  7. 1 ts Vanilla extract

  8. 1/2ts Salt

  9. 1 c Flour

  10. 2 c Sugar

  11. 4 Eggs

  12. 1 c Butter or margarine

  13. 1 c Walnuts - finely chopped

  1. + Combine unsweetened chocolate and butter in a small, heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted.

  2. Let stand 10 minutes.

  3. Beat eggs at medium speed of an electric mixer until thick and lemon colored; gradually add sugar, beating well.

  4. Add flour, salt, vanilla, and chocolate mixture; beat at low speed 1 minute.

  5. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased and floured 13x9x2 inch pan.

  6. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

  7. Cool 10 minutes; spread Creme de Menthe Frosting (see below) over top.

  8. Chill at least 4 hours.

  9. Drizzle melted chocolate over frosting or pipe in desired design using metal tip No.

  11. Cut into bars immediately.

  12. Remove from pan, and chill at least 1 hour.

  13. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.

  14. Yield 4 dozen.

  15. Creme de Menthe Frosting Combine all ingredients except walnuts in a mixing bowl; beat at high speed of an electric mixer until smooth.

  16. Stir in walnuts.

  17. Yield: enough for 4 dozen bars.
