  1. 20 (1/2-inch-thick) slices French bread

  2. 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil

  3. 1/2 cup garlic and herb cream cheese spread

  4. 1/4 cup chopped green onions

  1. Place bread slices on ungreased cookie sheet. Lightly brush each with oil. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for about 1 minute or until light golden brown.

  2. In small bowl, combine cream cheese and green onions; blend well. Spread mixture on toasted bread slices. Return to broiler; broil 1 minute or until cream cheese bubbles.
