  1. 1 1/2 c Elam's Scotch-style oatmeal

  2. 1/4 c Brown sugar

  3. 2 1/2 ts Baking powder

  5. 1 c Milk

  6. 2 Eggs

  7. 1/3 c Cooking oil

  8. 4 ingredients in bowl;mix.Combine and mix milk, eggs and oil.Add liquids to dry ingredients;mix.For each waffle, pour

  9. 1/2 of batter (1 1/3 cups) into preheated

  10. 9" square waffle iron.Spread over grid at once.Close iron;bake until done and nicely browned.Serve hot with butter and maple syrup,honey, applesauce or preserves.Yield:

  11. 2 - 9" waffles or 8 - 4" waffles.
