  6. 3 (11 1/2-oz) cans mandarin oranges, undrained Topping

  8. 3 Tb milk

  9. 3 Tb butter

  1. For cake: Preheat oven to 350°. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar together. Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and 2 cans of oranges; beat well. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and pour hot topping over the warm cake. Cool before serving. Serve the cake with whipped topping and garnish each slice with a mandarin orange slice if desired. For topping: Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a slow boil. Pour the hot mixture over the warm cake.
