  1. 8 oz 227g Pork; lean - boneless or Ground turkey

  2. 1 cup 237ml - water

  3. 2 teaspoons 10ml Chili powder

  4. 16 oz 454g Tomatoes - cut up

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Sugar

  6. 3 Celery; stalks - sliced

  7. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Garlic powder

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Onion - chopped (medium)

  9. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Cumin - ground

  10. 1 cup 237ml Lentils

  11. 3/4 cup 177ml Spicy tomato juice

  1. Trim any fat from meat. Cut meat in 1/2" cubes. Heat a non stick saucepan or pan sprayed with cooking oil over medium high heat. Brown meat quickly a stir in undrained tomatoes, celery, onions lentils, water, tomato juice, chili powder, sugar, garlic, and cumin.

  2. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Cover an simmer for about one hour or until lentils are tender.
