  1. 4 oz 113g Unsweetened chocolate

  2. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Flour

  3. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Butter

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  5. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Sugar

  6. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Nut meats - chopped

  7. 4 Eggs

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a large saucepan over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and gradually stir in the sugar. Stir until well blended.

  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating the mixture well after each addition. Blend in the remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth.

  3. Spread the batter in a greased baking pan (13"x9"). Bake for 30 to 40 minutes (DO NOT OVER-BAKE!) Cool slightly and cut into bars.

  4. May be frosted or dusted with powdered sugar before serving
