  1. for Caramel Layer Cake Recipe 1

  2. 1/3 cup corn oil

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. Few grains salt

  5. 2 eggs

  6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  7. 1/2 cup milk

  8. 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsfords Cornstarch

  9. Flour - about 1- 1/2 cups

  1. Pour the corn oil in the mixing bowl, add the sugar, salt, egg yolks, vanilla and beat till creamy.

  2. Put the cornstarch in a measuring cup, fill the cup with flour and then measure out another half cup.

  3. Add two teaspoons baking powder and sift into the egg mixture, alternately with the milk.

  4. Beat well, fold in the egg whites whipped light and bake in two layer cake pans oiled with corn oil.

  5. Put together and frost with Caramel Icing.
