  1. 1/4 cup butter

  2. 1/2 cup minced onion

  3. 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, chopped

  4. 1/2 cup sesame seeds, divided

  5. 1 teaspoon salt

  6. 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  7. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  8. 1 (13 3/4-ounce) package hot roll mix

  9. 2 tablespoons milk

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a medium skillet, melt butter. Add onion and saute for 3 minutes; add reserved mushrooms; saute until golden, about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of the sesame seeds, salt, lemon juice and black pepper; cool.

  2. Prepare roll mix as label directs. On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to an 18 x 12-inch rectangle. Spread mushroom mixture over dough to within 1 inch of edges; roll dough lengthwise, in a jelly roll fashion. Brush all sides of roll lightly with milk. Sprinkle all sides with remaining sesame seeds. Cut crosswise into 12 pieces. Place, cut side up, on greased baking sheet.

  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
