    1. 1 package(14 ounces) caramels

    2. 2 tablespoons water

    3. 6 Red Delicious Washington Apples

    4. 6 handle sticks

    1. Melt the bag of caramel and water in a microwave pan. Microwave on highfor 3-4 minutes. Or, allow about 20 minutes to melt caramels in a 1 1/2quart saucepan on stovetop. Stir caramel gently with a wooden spoon when it starts to melt.

    2. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Insert handle sticks in top of appleand remove excess juice on the apple.

    3. Dip the apple in the caramel, place on waxed paper and chill inrefrigerator.
