  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Boneless beef stew meat --

  2. Cut into 1" cubes

  3. 12 White onions (small)

  4. 4 Whole cloves

  5. 2 tablespoons 30ml Brown sugar

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Salt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Bottled brown gravy sauce

  8. 1 tablespoon 15ml Red wine vinegar

  9. 1 Bay leaf

  10. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Thyme

  11. 3/4 cup 177ml Water

  12. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Flour

  1. In slow-cooking pot, alternate beef and onions; stick cloves into 4 onions.

  2. Sprinkle with sugar and salt. Combine gravy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, thyme, and water.

  3. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until tender.

  4. Turn control to high. Dissolve flour in small amount of water.

  5. Stir into meat juices. Cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes.
