  1. 2 heads of broccoli , cut with small amount of stem left on flowerette

  2. 2 cloves of garlic , minced

  3. Salt and Pepper

  4. 1/2 C chicken broth (can use beef or vegetable broth as well)

  5. 2 T EVOO

  1. Preheat 12 inch non-stick skillet with EVOO on medium high heat. Add garlic and stir to scent the oil.

  2. Add Broccoli, cook about 3 to 5 minutes to brown broccoli, stir just enough to coat broccoli with EVOO.

  3. Turn heat to low, add chicken broth, cover for 5 to 8 minutes (depending on how soft you like your broccoli). Serve.

  4. Option 1: Serve with lemon wedges Option 2: Serve with garnish of freshly grated Parmesan cheese Option 3: Cook broccoli with shallots instead of garlic Option 4: Cook broccoli as above, but near the end drain away excess liquid and add ½ cup of roasted and lightly salted nuts of your choice and/or cooked diced meat of your choice and serve over rice.
