  1. 1/2 cup Green Pepper;chopped

  2. 2 Garlic;crushed;cloves

  3. 1 cup Onion;chopped

  4. cup Celery;minced

  5. 16 ounces Tomato;can undrained

  6. 1 Bay Leaf;

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce

  8. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire

  9. teaspoon Thyme;dried

  10. Salt;

  11. Sugar;

  12. tablespoon Butter

  1. Chop tomatoes, set aside. Reserve liquid from can.

  2. Saute all remaining vegetables in butter till tender.

  3. Add herbs and spices, cook 1 more minute.

  4. Add tomatoes and reserved liquid from can, cook about 10 minutes more.

  5. Discard bay leaf before serving.
