  1. 453 g lean ground beef

  2. 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  3. 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion

  4. 1 tbsp. tomato paste

  5. 1 tsp. dried oregano

  6. 1/2 tsp. salt

  7. 1/4 tsp. pepper

  8. 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

  9. 8 tomato slices

  10. 8 slices mozzarella cheese

  1. Preheat broiler. Mix ground beef, Parmesan, onion, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper in a large bowl until just combined. Form into 4 patties and divide between bottom hamburger buns. Place on a broilerproof pan. Broil burgers 4 inches from the heat about 8 to 10 minutes until cooked through. Top each burger with 2 of the tomato slices and 2 mozzarella slices. Broil an additional 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is melted. Place hamburger bun tops on burgers and serve immediately.
