  2. Apple Praline Pie

  7. 4 cups Granny Smith apple -- peeled and sliced

  8. 3/4 cup sugar

  9. 1/4 cup flour

  10. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  11. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  12. 2 tablespoons butter

  13. 2 pie crusts

  14. Topping:

  15. 1/4 cup butter

  16. 1/2 cup brown sugar

  17. 2 tablespoons half and half 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  18. Prepare bottom crust in plate. Heat oven to 425. Combine filling ingredients

  19. and pour into pie shell. Dot with the 2 T butter. Place top crust over all

  20. and seal and flute edge. Bake 35-45 minutes or till golden. Cover edges with

  21. foil to prevent overbrowning. Remove from oven and set aside, leaving oven

  22. on. Remove foil if used. Blend all topping ingredients and warm on stovetop

  23. in a small saucepan. Pour over pie. Place on cookie sheet and bake an

  24. 3-4 minutes or till top bubbles. Cool

  26. NOTES : You may substitute 2 20 oz. cans of apple pie filling if desired.
