  1. 450g pasta

  2. 4 slices smoked bacon

  3. 475ml soured cream

  4. 1 (300g) tub of cottage cheese

  5. pinch salt to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.

  2. Bring a large pot of lightly-salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes; drain well.

  3. Cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium-high heat or under the grill until crisp; chop into pieces and set aside.

  4. Place the cooked pasta in a large baking dish. Stir in the soured cream. Spoon the cottage cheese evenly over the top and sprinkle over the bacon pieces. Season with salt.

  5. Bake until the cottage cheese softens, 3 to 5 minutes.
