  1. 1 1/4c Sugar

  2. 1/2c Molasses

  3. 1/3c Hot water

  4. 2 tb Butter or margarine

  5. 1/4ts Salt

  6. 6 oz Semisweet chocolate pieces

  7. 2 c Finely chopped Brazil nuts

  8. 1 cn Flaked coconut

  9. 1/2c Finely chopped Brazil nuts

  1. + Servings: 2 pounds DIRECTIONS: In saucepan, mix sugar, molasses, hot water, butter and salt.

  2. Stir over low heat until a small amount of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water (240-F).

  3. Remove from heat; add chocolate; do not stir.

  4. Cool to 150 F, and stir until chocolate is well blended.

  5. Add 2 cups nuts and coconut.

  6. Pour into buttered 8x8x2" pan, and press in 1/2 cup nuts.

  7. Let stand in cool place several hours before cutting in squares.
