  1. 1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas

  2. 1 tablespoon butter

  3. 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  4. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  5. 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  6. 1/2 cup milk

  7. 1 teaspoon sugar

  1. Cook peas according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended; gradually add milk and sugar. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Drain peas; stir into the sauce and heat through. Yield: 3-4 servings.
