  1. 1 Onion - finely chopped

  2. 1 Garlic - finely chopped

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Vegetable oil

  4. 3/4 cup 177ml Catsup

  5. 1/4 cup 59ml Cider vinegar

  6. 1/3 cup 78ml Hot water

  7. 1/4 cup 82g / 2.9oz Light corn syrup

  8. 1 tablespoon 15ml Yellow mustard

  9. 2 tablespoons 30ml Steak sauce

  10. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Black pepper

  11. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Chili powder

  1. Recipe Instructions Combine the onion, garlic and oil in a microwave-safe 8-cup measure. Microcook, uncovered, at 100% power for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes until the onion is very soft. Stir in the catsup, vinegar, water, corn syrup, mustard, steak sauce, pepper and chili powder. Cover with microwave-safe plastic wrap vented at one edge. Microcook at 100% power for 2 minutes until bubbly. Stir. Microcook, covered, at 50% power for 4 minutes. Stir at half time. Cool. Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. Makes 1 3/4 cups.
