  2. 6 cups 1422ml Cold water

  3. 1/2 lb 227g / 8oz Salt pork - cut up

  4. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Lean chuck steak - cut into 1 Cubes 1 Red chili peppers -or-

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Crushed red pepper

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Onions - chopped (medium)

  7. 2 Garlic - minced

  8. 6 oz 170g Tomato paste

  9. 1 1/2 tablespoons 22ml Chili powder

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  11. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cumin seed

  12. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Marjoram

  1. Recipe Instructions Soak beans in water overnight. Brown salt pork in skillet or slow-cooking pot with browning unit. In slow-cooking pot, combine soaked beans (with water), browned pork, and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours.
