  1. 2 lb Rhubarb

  2. 2 lg Firm apples

  3. 2 tb Water

  4. TOPPING:

  5. 4 tb Butter

  6. 3/4c Sugar

  7. 3/4c Flour

  8. Heavy cream

  1. + Chop the rhubarb into 1 1/2-inch pieces.

  2. Peel, core, and cut theapples into 1/4-inch slices.

  3. Mix together with the sugar and water and place in a baking dish.

  4. For the topping, rub the butter, sugar, and flour together with your fingertips until the mixture is crumbly.

  5. Sprinkle the topping over the rhubarb and apples.

  6. Bake in a preheated 375 F oven for 1 hour.

  7. Serve warm or cold with a pitcher of heavy cream.
