  1. 1 cup packed dark brown sugar

  2. 1/3 cup sugar

  3. 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  4. 1 egg plus

  5. 1 egg white

  6. 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

  7. 2 tablespoons milk

  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  9. 1 cup chopped walnuts

  10. 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)

  1. Walnut Applesauce Pie Recipe photo by Taste of Home In a large bowl, combine sugars and flour. Beat in the egg, egg white, applesauce, milk and vanilla until well blended. Stir in walnuts.

  2. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 375° for 40-45 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Serve with whipped cream if desired. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 6-8 servings.
