  2. 1 cup rice, washed and drained

  3. 2/3 cup raisins

  4. 4 tablespoons oil, divided

  5. 1 pound ground beef

  6. 1 small onion, chopped

  7. 1 small clove garlic, chopped

  8. 1 tablespoon green chile, chopped

  9. 2 teaspoons salt

  10. 1 can tomatoes

  11. 1 tablespoon chili powder

  12. 1 1/2 cups water

  13. 2 slices bacon

  1. Wash raisins in hot water and drain.

  2. Heat half the oil in frying pan.

  3. Add washed rice and fry to a light brown.

  4. Remove rice.

  5. Add remaining oil.

  6. Fry the ground beef, onion, garlic and chile pepper about 10 minutes.

  7. Add salt, tomatoes and chili powder which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water.

  8. Cook a few minutes.

  9. Mix everything together and cover with strips of bacon.

  10. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
