  1. 1 c. All Bran

  2. 1/2 c. raisins

  3. 2 tbsp. shortening

  4. 1/2 c. molasses

  5. 1/2 tsp. salt

  6. 3/4 c. hot water

  7. 1 egg

  8. 1 c. flour

  9. 1 tsp. baking soda

  10. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients. Add water. Stir until shortening melts. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add with All Bran. Mix only until combined. Fill 2 greased baked bean cans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Or use an 8×8 inch pan and bake for 35 minutes.

  2. When using cans, cut out the bottom to remove bread. Makes nice, round slices.
