  1. 1 Hamburger Patty , pressed from fresh ground chuck

  2. 1/4 cup sliced Onions

  3. 2 Tbsp Butter

  4. 1 Small Can Sliced Mushrooms

  5. tsp Garlic Powder

  6. Salt & Pepper , to taste

  7. 2-3 slices Kraft American Cheese

  1. Cook hamburger patty in a frying pan or flat-top grill until desired doneness is reached.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Stir and reduce heat to a simmer, sauté until hamburger is done.

  3. Pour sautéed onions and mushrooms over the top of the burger trying to keep most of them on top of the patty. Add salt and pepper to taste. Lay slices of cheese over the top, covering all the mushrooms and onions. Cover to help melt the cheese.

  4. When cheese is melted, use a spatula to remove the burger. Serve on a plate. Condiments can be added, but we would eat these just the way they are.
