  1. History: I think I have had this recipe since the 1960's. Jell-O was very popular in America during the baby boomer's childhood years.

  2. Serving Size: 8-12

  3. Preparation Time: 0:45

  4. Amount/Measure/Ingredient

  5. 1 large (6 oz.) box strawberry Jell-O

  6. 9 oz., approx. Cool Whip, thawed

  7. quart strawberries, cut into bite-sized pieces

  8. 1 angel food cake, torn into bite-sized pieces

  9. Prepare Jell-O according to package directions. Chill until slightly thickened (about the consistency of raw egg whites). Using an electric mixer, whip Jell-O until frothy, this will take a few minutes. Fold in remaining ingredients, in order given, combining well. Chill until firm. This recipe is easily adaptable, can use more or less of all ingredients, except for the Jell-O. You can also substitute other fruits and Jell-O flavors. --
