  1. 1/2 cup sugar

  2. 1 cup water

  3. 2 tablespoon cornstarch

  4. 1/2 cinnamon

  5. apples (enough to fill a 8 pie shell)

  6. 1 pie shell

  7. Crumb Mixture:

  8. 1/4 cup sugar

  9. 1/2 cup flour

  10. 3 tablespoon butter

  1. Boil sugar water, cornstarch and cinnamon until thick. Peel and core apples into slices. Put apples into pie shell and pour sugar mixture over apples. Cover with crumb mixture and bake for at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then turn down to 350 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

  3. Combine all sugar, flour and butter until crumbly
