  7. 1 lb Butter -- softened

  8. 1 lb Sifted cake flour

  9. 10 md Eggs -- separated

  10. 1 lb Sugar

  11. 1 1/2 ts Vanilla

  12. 1/2 ts Lemon or orange juice

  13. x Zest from lemon or orange

  14. Cream butter and flour. Beat yolks, vanilla and juice.

  15. Add to butter/flour mixture, gradually. Beat whites

  16. 1 t sugar and fold in. Beat on low for 4 to

  17. minutes. Pour into 2 8x4 greased and floured pans.
