  3. 2 cups sour milk

  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  5. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  6. 1 egg

  7. 1 tablespoon sugar

  1. Instructions Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Add milk, well beaten egg, and melted vegetable shortening. Drop by spoonfuls on hot griddle greased with vegetable shortening. Cook until browned, then turn and cook on other side. Serve hot with syrup.
