  3. 1/3 cup All-purpose flour

  4. 3/4 teaspoon Salt

  5. 1/8 teaspoon Pepper

  6. 1 1/2 cups Milk

  7. 1 cup Chicken broth

  8. 2 cups Cut-up cooked chicken or -- Turkey

  9. 1 1/2 cups Cooked white or wild rice

  10. 1/3 cup Chopped green bell pepper

  11. 1/4 cup Slivered almonds

  12. 2 tablespoons Chopped pimiento

  13. 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems an -- Pieces, drained, or 1 cup Chopped mushrooms

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat margarine in 2-quart saucepan until melted.

  2. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk and broth. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients.Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole or rectangul baking dish, 10 X 6 X 1-1/2 inches. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly.

  3. Garnish with parsley if desired.
