  1. 224 g uncooked spaghetti

  2. 453 g lean ground beef

  3. 1/2 cup minced onion

  4. 392 g can diced tomatoes with juices

  5. 420 g can kidney or pinto beans, rinsed

  6. 224 g can tomato sauce

  7. 2 tsp. chili powder

  8. 1/4 tsp. salt

  9. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  1. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until just done. Drain well. Meanwhile, brown beef with onion in a large saucepan, breaking up clumps of meat. Drain fat and stir in tomatoes with juices, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. Cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened. Divide pasta between plates and top with sauce. Sprinkle with cheddar and serve immediately.
