  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Sweet butter - (or more)

  4. Assorted crackers.

  5. Pickle slices

  1. Soften the butter and gradually add the cheese to it; cream to make a smooth paste.

  2. Trim the crusts from the bread and cut to desired shapes.

  3. Spread the bread (or crackers) with the cheese mixture.

  4. Top each canape with a slice of pickle and a caper.
