  1. 1 beef brisket (6 to 8 lbs)

  2. garlic powder

  3. salt

  4. pepper

  5. 3 medium-size onion s, sliced

  6. 1 12oz jar apricot preserves

  7. 1 14oz bottle ketchup

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Season brisket to taste with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place sliced onions on bottom of roasting pan. Put in brisket. Mix preserves and ketchup. Pour over brisket. Bake, covered, 4 hours until tender.
